It's a big ask expecting to get better by
having someone do

But There's A Problem...
Question:

some key exercises, why don't more people do it?
Answer:
Because
they don't know how. Nobody has ever shown them the
cause of their problem or the exercises they need to do
to fix it up.
Firstly, the medical, pharmaceutical, physiotherapy, chiropractic
and massage industries are not good at diagnosing the
cause of your pain. Doctors particularly would only
spend a couple of hours on back pain in med school. They
only know two exercises.
1. pulling
your knees up to your chest
2.
walking over to the chemists.
The other therapists
just keep on treating the site of the
pain, not the cause of the pain.
Sure, some people are afraid to leave the feeling of
safety and comfort they get from their therapist, but
it's usually not until they do something for themselves that
they start getting better.
THE KEY
TO

BACK PAIN
The key to
reducing pain is getting your bones back into better
alignment.
The key to
doing that is to
work on your strength and flexibility.
Forget the crunch, the rub down, the hot pad and the pill. You can
only restore poor function to good by doing something to
yourself.
The
pain you're experiencing is your body's way of telling
you you are out of alignment.
Where's The Magic Wand?
There isn't one. That's the myth of
junk medicine - that you get better by masking the
pain with a pill. It doesn't work.
While you're
taking the pain killer, bones are rubbing against
each other. You end up with arthro (bone)
itis (inflammation). Plus you're not doing your
stomach or your liver a favour. Sooner or later
you'll end up under the knife.
While
you're taking a pain killer, discs are being squeezed and
muscles, tendons and ligaments stretched to screaming point.
You can't feel it, you think the problem's gone away.
Wrong!
It's getting worse. Same with the crunch. I had a bloke tell
me once that he had the best chiro in town - went every
three weeks. The chiro crunched the bones back in place -
for a modest consideration - and the bloke pulled them out
again. Sounds like a good lurk to me!
There are a lot of treatments out there that don't work.
You'll know you're being dudded if you're not getting
stronger and more flexible.
The biggest scam is
expecting to get better by having someone do something to you.
Whilst therapy speeds up
the rehab process and gives you a warm feeling for a few days, it doesn't take the place of what you need to do
for yourself.
Lots
of people fall for the quick fix,
but unless your
getting stronger and looser you're not getting better.
We're not waving the magic wand here. You've got to do
something to yourself, regularly systematically.
Quick fixes
simply over-promise and under deliver.

Firstly
because I'm a physical educator. I know something about
fitness, in particular what happens if you lose your

Secondly I've been running
